… nou, ja! Als eerbetoon aan de onlangs overleden Raoul Cauvin en zijn gevoel voor hilarische lijnen bieden wij u ECHT dit schitterende diorama aan. Deze werd geproduceerd in samenwerking met Willy Lambil. We kunnen ons voorstellen dat wijlen Salvérius er blij mee zou zijn geweest, aangezien het realisme van de karakters en de decoratieve elementen bewonderenswaardig is.
Aan het front vinden we uiteraard Cornelius Chesterfield, de bekrompen sergeant, aan de teugels van een anonieme achtervolging, gevolgd door een dubieuze korporaal Blutch op Arabesque, een merrie wiens naam zo goed het talent van de modelbouwer weerspiegelt in het overbrengen van een rustige draf.
Onberispelijke outfits, van laarzen tot kepi, compleet harnas, pakket inbegrepen, de precisie van de details is aanwezig. Ook het decor ontbreekt niet aan finesse, met het gras, de rotsen, het zand van de oever, de stam van dood hout, het schuimende water en zelfs de spatten.
En als een onbeleefd persoon, die je aanwinst ontdekt, de vrijheid neemt om te zeggen: "oh, één twee paarden!", antwoord dan onmiddellijk aan de onbeschaamde persoon dat hij gelijk heeft om jaloers te zijn, want een diorama als dit, in alle eerlijkheid, het is een tuniek!
